The Best Turkish Boxer "Selçuk AYDIN"

Today, I will mention you Selçuk AYDIN, the best boxer in Turkish professinal box history. He was born in 1983 in my hometown, Akçaabat. I am proud of being countryman of him. He started boxing when he was 8 . Since then he has been fighting for Turkey. He has won a lot of medals in a lot competitions. In 2003 he became a professional boxer and since then he has fought 24 times. He won 23 of these matches and he lost only once. He has a match 6 days later on 27th of this month at 5.00 in the morning. We hope he will win this match. Selçuk Aydın is the most successful Turkish boxer. He has the title of "intercontinental boxing champion", "Europe boxing champion" and he has World Silver Belt. He is also a very good Trabzonspor fan.

I chose this video because it shows how great Selçuk Aydın as a boxer is. He won most of his victories by knock out and this video shows his knock outs. He is a great boxer. Enjoy this video and do not miss waking up early on 27th January Sunday at 5.00 o'clock and watch his match.

Comment on Barıs',Tuba's,Helin's and Asena's Food Product Journal

Oh my dear friend Barış,
You cannot predict how hungry I am now and how much I want to eat some baklava. You chose one of the most important desserts of the Turkish cuisine. You wrote the ingredients and the recipe very clearly. Someone who have read the recipe and the ingredients can make baklava. Your slogan "SINCE ADAM AND EVA , EVERYBODY HAS EATEN TURKISH BAKLAVA" is also very attractive but it can be written better to keep the size of the sylabbles. However there are some points that I do not like. First of all, you did not write a paragraph. There is not coherence among parts. Secondly, you did not mention why you chose Latvia to market your baklava and lastly you did not mention the price of the product. Wtih this information, it can be better.

Commnet on Merve's Fire of Anatolia Journal

Dear Merve,
I am totally agree with you. I also think that Fire of Anatolia is the best dance group in Turkey and is one of the best groups in the world. I had the opportunity to watch them live in the opening ceremony of EYOF 2011. They performed a perfect show there and fascinated everybody. You organized your paragraph well. First you mentioned its history and aim and lastly the countries they have performed a show. As I am also a fan of Fire of Anatolia, I liked your paragraph very much. I couldn't find any mistake. The video you chose was also good but I think it could be better. As a whole your journal is very good.

Comment on Fatos' And Ahmet's Mesir Macun Journal

Dear Fatoş and Ahmet,
You wrote a paragraph to market a historical flavour,Mesir Macun, to world. I also want Mesir Macun to be known worldwide so I support your effort. You wrote your paragraph well organized. You wrote some benefits of the ingredients in Mesir Macun and you mentioned its history. It is good paragraph but I want to learn how much it coasts, what there are in it and especially which country your are targetting. However, even without these information, I like your paragraph.

Journal Entry 4- I Brain ODTU

The latest slogan of METU, I Brain ODTU, is very appropriate slogan for METU in my opinion. When I first heard about the slogan, I really liked it. The slogan is English. It resembles the most famous English love words "I Love You". In the slogan, the word "love" is placed with the word "brain". I think, that slogan strongly reflects the University of METU in terms of its features. Firstly, the language of education at METU is English. The slogan's being English reflects the education language of METU. Somebody who has first read this slogan can understand that English is an important language at METU since the slogan of the university is English. Secondly, in Turkey the university that uses and produces science most is METU. The people in Turkey who use their minds most are in METU so saying “I Brain ODTU” shows that METU has the most academic staff, most scientific publication and best students. This slogan reflects METU’s using science and producing science and using foreign language very successfully. However, METU is also a university which has a great history and a very big and natural campus so I wish the slogan included some information about METU’s history and its campus. If I were to produce a slogan for METU, it would be “A historical town of science in green nature”. METU is like a forest town in bare Ankara and it has a rich history in which a lot of nation-wide events have happened. My slogan, apart from the one I mentioned above reflects the nature and history of METU, too. It also shows that METU is like a different town in Ankara with its nature and history. When I handle the slogans as a whole, I can say that they are both appropriate for METU. METU always deserves the best.
